MONDAY- ALL LEVELS: Traditional yoga made informal and fun. We start with a warm up of rotations to lubricate the joints and do a variety of standing, sitting, laying and inverted poses. We will also touch on the daily habits of the body in respect to the poses. Pranayama (breathwork) meditation, and mantra are integral to the program, with relaxation ending each class.

TUESDAY - ADVANCING: We will be further integrating poses with deeper pranayama, meditation, and mantra. We will start to work with looking inward and visualizing joints and muscles in process. This class will focus on developing strength in proper alignment - see where you body takes you in only 10 weeks!

Yana has been hooked on yoga since her first class in 1998 with Yoga Master Zena Ursuliak. In the last decade, Yana trained for four years with the wonderful variety and intensity of teachers which the Yoga Association of Alberta offers, and has been teaching in mainly small rural towns. Yana has an eight year old daughter, a phytotherapy business (herbs and aromatherapy) through which she offers workshops on natural products and mindful living.

Gratitude and Motivation

Today I felt really grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the creation of the yoga center in Creston. It has been such a source of challenges, learning, confidence building and joys in my life in the past year! Many thanks to everyone who has helped to make my dream a reality :)
(A special shout out to Alaina and Jordan for creating a beautiful logo, Ryder for driving me to Nelson and back for business workshops in the middle of the winter, Community Futures and all their amazing staff, and all the local yoga teachers and dedicated students who have taken part in this project! Thank you all!)

As some of you may know, I really love motivational things. From motivational books and quotes,to goal setting and talking about my dream, and, inspirational videos. I wanted to share some of my recent favorites.

May your dreams take flight,
